PIKE TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Stark County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide after a woman’s body was found in Sandy Creek in Pike Township on Friday.
According to authorities, a passerby contacted the sheriff’s office shortly before 9 p.m. about the discovery.
The woman appears to have been stabbed, deputies said. Her identity has not been released.
No further details were provided.
