AKRON, Ohio — The Akron Zoo posted a video of Baya the snow leopard cub and her mother Shanti that many human mothers can probably relate to.
Shanti was lying on a table relaxing when her 4-month-old cub decided it was playtime.
Baya can be seen pulling and chewing on Shanti’s tail as Shanti stares ahead, unphased.
Shanti isn’t new to the whole parenting thing. She previously welcomed two cubs in 2012, two cubs in 2014 and three cubs in 2016, so raising one this time is a cakewalk.
The patience of a mother knows no bounds and that apparently holds true for snow leopard moms as well.
Baya made her public debut last week, so human moms can take their little ones to visit her at the zoo—if they’re feeling as patient at Shanti, that is.
