CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are searching for a missing 13-year-old girl who was reported missing from her home after her guardian noticed she was not in her room around 3 a.m. Thursday morning.

Sophia Gonzalez was reported missing from her home in the 17600 block of Valleyview Avenue in Cleveland.

Police said Sophia's guardian took her phone on Saturday and that is believed to be the reason the girl left.

Officers toured areas where she was thought to have been, including her friends' houses in Cleveland and Lakewood, but she was not located.

Sophia is described as standing 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds with black hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a red hoodie with black sweatpants and a black tube top.

Anyone with information regarding the girl's whereabouts is asked to call police at 216-623-7697.
