Missing 5-year-old girl found safe by authorities in Stark County

UPDATE: The girl was found with her non-custodial father after the United States Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force received tips on their location, according to New Franklin police.

The girl's non-custodial father was booked into the Barberton Jail for interference with custody, child endangering and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

PREVIOUS STORY: New Franklin police sought the public's help locating a missing 5-year-old girl and her non-custodial father.

The girl's father was last seen Sunday around 7 p.m., when he took his father's vehicle and took his daughter to the gas station but failed to return.
