Missing 82-year-old Westerville man with dementia who drove away from home found safe

WESTERVILLE, Ohio — UPDATE: The man has been found safe, according to police.

A Statewide Missing Endangered Adult Alert was previously issued by the Westerville Police Department for an 82-year-old man who drove away from his residence and had not been seen since.

The man left his home in Westerville, located in Franklin County, at around 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Police said he has dementia and they were concerned for his safety.
