CLEVELAND — The FBI is looking for women who agents believe may have been drugged and raped by a doctor who was recently arrested.

Ohio plastic surgeon Dr. Manish Gupta is accused of drugging and raping women. According to federal documents, he traveled the country for medical conferences. The FBI believe he's traveled to Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles, Detroit, Colorado and Cleveland.

According to the affidavit, at the medical conferences, he set up dates with high priced escorts and then drugged and raped the women.

“These women were raped and drugged against their will. It doesn’t matter their occupation. It is not right and it’s against the law, justice needs to be served,” said Supervisory Special Agent Kim Schwarting, Cleveland FBI.

Agents searched his offices and what found evidence which points to more victims who might be scattered across the country. Now, the FBI is trying to retrace his steps.

“We’re seeing stuff dating back to 2013 until 2019. We’re concerned we have a gap and we know he’s been to different conferences. May women could have been victimized,” she said.

The FBI set up a confidential email and phone number in an attempt to have other victims contact the agency. Confidential tips can be made by emailing ohiodoctortips@fbi.gov or call 216-622-6842.

“It’s probably some of the most heinous stuff I’ve seen since working for the bureau,” said Schwarting.

She encouraged anyone who may have been a victim to contact the FBI.
