COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Public Utilities Commission Chairman Sam Randazzo voluntarily resigned from his position Friday, according to Gov. Mike DeWine’s Office.

The governor appointed Randazzo on Feb. 4, 2019.

On Monday, the FBI searched Randazzo’s home in Columbus. Authorities haven’t commented on their investigation, according to the Associated Press.

Vice-Chairman M. Beth Trombold will serve as acting PUCO chairman until Randazzo’s replacement is named.
