ATHENS, Ohio — Another Ohio University fraternity has been issued a cease and desist order and its actions are under review.

Theta Tau Engineering Fraternity was issued a cease and desist order effective Friday and is currently under investigation.

The actions that brought the school to issue the suspension are unknown, but Ohio University states that when a group is under conduct review, it is an indication the group’s behavior may violate school policy and/or the Student Code of Conduct.

All non-academic Theta Tau activities are suspended during the conduct review process while the school investigates.

Theta Tau is among a handful of other student organizations that are under a cease and desist order.

Beta Theta Pi, Lambda Chi Alpha, Phi Kappa Psi, Sigma Chi, Men's Rugby, and the Marching 110 (non-academic activities only) all remain under suspension.

Ohio University has lifted suspensions and restrictions on other organizations that were previously under investigation for hazing allegations.
