A Columbus Police officer is in critical condition, and a suspect is dead following an early morning shooting, according to News 5's media partner WSYX.
The shooting happened at Franklin County Auto Title Office Wednesday morning.
According to WSYX, police responded to a robbery in progress when the shooting happened.
The suspect was transported to the hospital, where they later died.
The officer was shot in the leg and is in critical but stable condition.
