NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio — The North Ridgeville Police Department said Saturday that a drive-thru clinic for COVID-19 vaccinations at Fire Station 1 is causing a major traffic back up.

"As of now, traffic is gridlocked on Ranger Way. We have just closed Ranger Way at Center Ridge in hopes to alleviate some of this traffic, as the intersection of Jaycox and Center Ridge was locked up. As of now Bainbridge and Ranger Way is still open," police said.

According to police, the event runs until 4 p.m. and is by appointment only.

"Please do not just show up without an appointment. You will be turned away after waiting for a long time. The response is nothing short of overwhelming so far," police said.

According to the North Ridgeville Fire Department, the drive-thru clinic is being conducted by the Lorain County Health Department and is by appointment only. The event only has enough vaccine for those who preregistered and were given a time to show up by LCHD.
