COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and Lt. Gov. Jon Husted will give an update on the state's response to the coronavirus pandemic Thursday afternoon. It's the first briefing for DeWine's administration since before the presidential election.

On Tuesday, Ohio broke over 4,000 coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of cases to 226,138. It was the first time Ohio has topped 4,000 in its daily reporting.
On Wednesday, Ohio was again over 4,000 cases.

While Ohio Governor Mike DeWine did not hold his usual Tuesday COVID-19 briefing due to the election, he did tweet about the record number of cases, once again urging Ohioans to slow the spread by social distancing, wearing a mask and avoiding large gatherings.
