CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Municipal Court announced they will be amending all minor misdemeanor moving violations that aren't motor vehicle accidents in the city during the pandemic to a non-moving, no-point violation due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Officials said for all eligible minor misdemeanor traffic citations that were issued on or before July 1, 2020, the guilty waiver to the amended charge must be submitted before July 31.
For all minor misdemeanor traffic violations that were issued after July 1, 2020, the guilty waiver to the amended charge must be submitted before the scheduled arraignment date, which can be found at the bottom of the ticket.
If a person wishes to proceed with a trial, they will get a later court date.
