CLEVELAND — In the coming weeks, more Ohioans will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Health continue to roll out the limited vaccine supply in a phased approach, starting with the state’s most vulnerable residents.

As of Jan. 18, Ohioans age 80 and older are the first eligible group in Phase 1B. Vaccine distribution will follow this schedule:

  • The week of Jan. 19: Ohioans 80 years of age and older.
  • The week of Jan. 25: Ohioans 75 years of age and older; those with severe congenital or developmental disorders.
  • The week of Feb. 1: Ohioans 70 years of age and older; employees of K-12 schools that wish to remain or return to in-person or hybrid models.
  • The week of Feb. 8: Ohioans 65 years of age and older.

Due to the limited supply of the vaccine, at the time a new age group is eligible, vaccinations may not yet be complete for the previous age group.

Based on the county you live in, how you sign up to receive a vaccine will vary. Each health department below has instructions on how to sign up by email or by calling a number to schedule a vaccination appointment.
