SANDUSKY, Ohio — Jet Express announced Monday that the Sandusky, Cedar Point and Kelley’s Island Ports will not open for the 2020 season, citing the inability to socially distance passengers and sanitize in a way required during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a release from the company.

Jet Express said they are unable to social distance passengers waiting to board due to the high water at the facilities at these locations.

The Port Clinton terminal with service to Put-in-Bay remains open and operating as scheduled.

“We are looking forward to working the rest of this year and next spring on a solution to bring our services back to these areas. We appreciate your patience throughout this process as we worked through many options to find a solution,” Jet Express said.

Anyone who has purchased a Season Pass from Sandusky to Kelley’s Island, Sandusky to Put-in-Bay or an inter-island pass, should contact the administrative officers for a credit towards future purchases or a refund.

The number to contact the offices is 419-732-2800 or by email at fast@jet-express.com.
