Mayfield: 96 students, 11 staff quarantine after 7th-grade student tests positive for COVID-19

MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — Mayfield City Schools confirmed that 96 students and 11 staff members are required to quarantine for 14 days after a 7th-grade student tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, the district said in a letter to students and parents.

The district said all students and staff who were in contact with the student are quarantining, and those at home will use remote learning until they return to in-person learning.

Students can return to school when they are symptom-free, without the use of medications, on Wednesday, October 21.
