Ohio sees spike in new COVID-19 related deaths

As Gov. DeWine announces new health advisories, COVID-19 related deaths spike in the state Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the state of Ohio reported 63 deaths related to the virus, bringing their total to 1,720 deaths.

The state's 21-day average of deaths is 44 deaths per day.

On Monday, the state was below average with 32 deaths.

Ohio reported 498 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, bringing their total to 28,952. The new cases were below the three week average in new cases, which is 580.

The state reported that 119 people were hospitalized with the virus on Tuesday, bringing the total to 5,117.

The City of Cleveland reported 21 new cases, bringing their total to 1,221.
