SHEFFIELD/SHEFFIELD LAKE, Ohio — Sheffield-Sheffield Lake City Schools announced Saturday that an employee who works at Brookside High School / Middle School recently tested positive for coronavirus.
“Unfortunately, we knew it was only a matter of time before this could happen,” school officials said in a Facebook post on Friday.
The district said that it is working closely with Lorain County Public Health Department on the case. Individuals who may have been exposed have been contacted by health officials.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with their family and also with all of our families at this time,” the district stated.
