COLUMBUS — Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, Lt. Gov. Jon Husted and Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton will resume their daily briefing on the state's response to COVID-19.

On Wednesday, Republican lawmakers in the GOP-controlled Ohio House passed an amendment to an existing bill that would limit orders passed by the ODH director to last no more than 14 days.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s office confirmed the governor will veto either piece of legislation proposed by state lawmakers that would limit Ohio Health Director Dr. Amy Acton’s ability to enact statewide health orders, such as the stay-at-home order issued in March.
