AKRON, Ohio — A 26-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly robbing a Fifth Third Bank in Akron.
Jacob Mellinger, 26, was arrested on Eastholm Avenue in Akron Friday. He was charged with robbery in connection to the incident.
On Feb. 11, he allegedly passed a note to the bank teller demanding money. The teller provided an undisclosed amount of currency before he fled the area on foot.
Investigators were able to identify Mellinger as the suspect.
Mellinger remains at the Summit County Jail.
