Strong currents in Lake Erie have caused triathlon officials to change the course of the USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships sprint-distance race on Sunday.
The triathlon (swim-bike-run) was changed to a duathlon (run-bike-run), according to race officials. The duathlon will consist of a 2.72-kilometer run, 20-kilometer bike ride and another 2.72-kilometer run.
The race was also delayed 30 minutes and began at 7:30 a.m.
