PLAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Stark County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Canton man on Wednesday in connection with the death of a 29-year-old woman in Plain Township.
The suspect, Jason Alan McDermitt, 29, is charged with aggravated murder, according to the sheriff’s deputies.
Authorities allege that on Oct. 28, McDermitt shot and killed Morgan Fox, 29, while she was getting inside her vehicle in her driveway. Fox's body was found inside her car. She had been shot in the head.
McDermitt is currently being held in the Stark County Jail.
Authorities haven’t released any further information.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 330-430-3800.
