CLEVELAND — The Ohio Investigative Unit has cited two bars in the city of Cleveland for violating state health orders aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus.
The Ivy was cited for improper conduct—disorderly activity. Authorities said there were around 170 customers inside and "little to no social distancing measures or physical barriers were in place," the OIU said. Additionally, "patrons were closely congregated near the bar and many were not wearing masks."
The second location agents went to is the Dive Bar. That establishment was also cited for improper conduct—disorderly activity. Authorities said they saw around 200 customers in close proximity. "Agents witnessed patrons reaching over others at the bar to order and also obtain their beverages. Little to no social distancing measures or physical barriers were in place. Many patrons were not wearing masks," the OIU said.
The infractions will be reviewed by the Ohio Liquor Control Commission.
