COLUMBUS, Ohio — On Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. Ohio Department of Health Director Bruce Vanderhoff, MD, is holding a press conference on COVID-19 hospitalizations with Ohio’s hospital zone leads.

The press conference will feature not only Vanderhoff, but also Richard P. Lofgren, MD, President and Chief Executive Officer at UC Health, Andrew Thomas, MD, Chief Clinical Officer at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Robert Wyllie, MD, Chief Medical Operations Officer at the Cleveland Clinic.
Yesterday, the state of Ohio reported 5,395 new coronavirus cases, more than a 64% increase across the past 14 days.
