NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio — Three more Cuyahoga County polling officials have tested positive for COVID-19, according to a news release from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.
One of the polling officials worked at the Olmsted Falls Intermediate School and the two others worked at the Church of St. Clarence in North Olmsted, the BOE stated.
“Our thoughts are with these officials and their families as they work toward a quick and full recovery,” said BOE Director Anthony Perlatti.
Last week, the BOE announced that a polling worker who was at the Fairhill Partners polling location also tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the BOE, workers were kept from coming into close contact with voters. The BOE states that the CDC defines close contact “as someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes, whether it was all at one time or separate periods of time.
The BOE said it is working with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health on the matter.
