CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns have placed linebacker Sione Takitaki on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

He is one of five team members currently on the list.

Defensive end Myles Garrett will remain on the reserve/COVID-19 list for the second week in a row and has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In addition to Garret and Takitaki, the Browns have three other players on the reserve/COVID-19 list—fullback Andy Janovich, guard Chris Hubbard, and defensive end Joe Jackson. Head Coach Kevin Stefanksi said their status for Sunday has not yet been decided.

The reserve/COVID-19 list was created for a player who either tests positive for COVID-19 or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person.

The Browns are not permitted to comment on a player’s medical status other than referring to roster status and may not disclose whether a player is in quarantine or has tested positive for COVID-19, per the NFL and NFLPA policy.

After a team member, who was not identified, tested positive for COVID-19, the team closed their facility Wednesday and meetings continued to take place remotely as part of the NFL-NFLPA intensive protocol while contact tracing is conducted to identify any potential high-risk close contacts.
