COLUMBUS — Gov. Mike DeWine held a question and answer session Thursday evening on Twitter.
Residents across the state asked him questions about COVID-19.
Here were some of his responses.
We hear you. We are adding new staff to the call center and some staff from @OhioBWC are also stepping in to help. Please know that we’re working around the clock to give you the best service, and your benefits will be backdated to the date you became eligible. #AskGovDeWine https://t.co/fRqnivwCbs

My 30 day tags are expired on my new truck, I know the dmv's are closed. How long will we have to get new tags

Yes. Anyone coming back to #Ohio after traveling out of state should self-quarantine for 14 days as soon as they return. #InThisTogetherOhio https://t.co/G2FyeYWGPy

Thanks for your question. I’ve given judges in #Ohio the authority to freeze evictions, and yesterday I signed an order requesting that commercial lenders work with their customers (which include landlords) so that they will have the ability to work with their residents. https://t.co/yzy4ngHF7H

There is the potential for #COVID19 to be on surfaces, including grocery packaging. Wash your hands for 20 seconds after unpacking your groceries and clean kitchen countertops. If it relieves some anxiety, wiping surfaces with disinfectant can’t hurt. #AskGovDeWine https://t.co/8Mz2InKUin

It is going to take some time before we get back to a sense of normalcy, but it will happen. I am concerned to hear about your hopelessness, please don’t give up – reach out. We have a 24/7 crisis text line, just text 4hope to 741 741. Or, call 800-273-8255. You are not alone. https://t.co/xwPa1F1TWc

When test results are returned to a healthcare provider, they must report the info to the county health department, which reports to @OHdeptofhealth. Employers don’t need to notify health officials but should have a plan in place for notifying employees who may have been exposed. https://t.co/r7MYDlM3iK
