CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is extending the run of its popular “Cruise the Zoo” event for two more weeks.
The event originally had an end date of May 31. Tickets are available now for dates through June 14.
The zoo has been closed since March 16, and the Cruise the Zoo event gives the public a first glimpse of the zoo by offering guests the chance to see giraffes, elephants and bears from the safety of their vehicles.
This limited-time drive-thru event will help raise some much-needed funds after the zoo reported revenue is down $1.5 million from 2019.
Families can download a free audio guide during the event to hear from experts on animals, habitats and conservation.
Entry is $20 per car for zoo members and $40 per car for non-members. Advance reservations that can only be purchased online are required for entry.
