New coronavirus cases in Ohio dipped over the last 24 hours as businesses in the state get ready to reopen. Tuesday marked the day the state passed 25,000 total cases.
The state reported 473 new cases, which is 223 cases fewer than Monday. There are currently 25,250 cases in the state.
Cuyahoga County's cases continue to teeter-totter, showing a slight decrease in new cases. On Tuesday, the county reported 47 new cases, after reporting 66 cases on Monday.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths in Ohio now stands at 1,436 after 79 more deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
Ohio Health Department Director Dr. Amy Acton said cases continue to remain steady across the state.
"Overall, still in a very flat plateau phase," she said.
