COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Health reported 1,358 new cases of novel coronavirus Saturday afternoon, which is higher than the 21-day average of 950. The state now has a total of 64,214 reported cases of COVID-19.
Additionally, four new deaths were reported which brings the total number to 3,036. Saturday's new number is lower than the 21-day average of 16 deaths.
Sixty-nine new hospitalizations were reported, which is lower than the 21-day average of 75 cases. ICU admissions dropped slightly with eight admissions reported. The 21-day average sits at 16 admissions.
The age range of Ohioans who have or have had coronavirus is between the ages of less than one to 109 years old. The median age of patients sits at 44 years old. Thirteen percent of the state’s total cases are health care workers, according to ODH. The median age of patients who have died sits at 80 currently.
As of Saturday, 979,149 Ohioans have been tested for the virus out of the state's population of more than 11.7 million.

It should be noted that while day to day case numbers may fluctuate up and down, state health officials said that cases will continue a gradual rise as more testing becomes available.
