CLEVELAND — Passengers utilizing Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority trains and buses will need to wear a mask until next year, the agency announced Tuesday, due to an extension of the Transportation Security Administration's federal mask requirement.

The extension goes through Jan. 18, 2022.

"RTA riders must wear face masks while riding any bus or train, while waiting inside bus shelters and when entering any RTA transit center, train station, or the RTA Main Office Building," the agency said.

You will not have to wear a mask while waiting outside in an open air area at train stations or centers.
