COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton and Lt. Gov. Jon Husted will give an update on the state's response to the coronavirus pandemic Friday afternoon.

On Thursday, DeWine announced that some entertainment venues are allowed to open on June 10.

Thursday's scheduled coronavirus briefing was canceled out of respect for George Floyd, for whom a memorial service was being held at the same time. Floyd was an unarmed black man who died in police custody, sparking national outrage.
