CLEVELAND — The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority reported that an employee tested positive for COVID-19 this week.
The employee is a Maintenance Management System Trainee at the Hayden District, according to RTA.
RTA said the employee first reported symptoms on Aug. 13, which was also the employees last day of work. The employee then tested positive for COVID-19 on Aug. 16.
All work areas, equipment and other areas of potential exposure were cleaned and disinfected. Staff members who may have been in contact with the employee were notified, RTA said.
There have been a total of 31 RTA employees who have tested positive for COVID-19 to date, 30 of whom have fully recovered and returned to work, according to RTA.
