It was supposed to be a birthday celebration for David Bourne Junior. Instead, family and friends carrying stuffed animals and balloons came to where he died. He was supposed to have celebrated his 16th birthday on Sunday, but was killed by a car Wednesday and the driver just kept going.

His family and friends held the vigil to pray for David Bourne Junior and for answers.

"Please turn yourself in, let us try to have peace, healing, justice for my nephew," said Miranda Price.

Last week, David was walking near East 69th and Union Avenue around 5:30 pm. He was just a few blocks from home. He tried to avoid a dead animal on the sidewalk, he stepped into the street for a second and that's when he was hit by a car. The driver took off.

His family describes the teen as someone who loved to laugh, had a good heart and always made people happy. "I don't know any other side of David other than happy. I just know happy David," said Aaliyah Cashdollar, his sister.

His family said that police just informed them of a possible make and model of the car that hit Bourne. The family said police are looking for a white Lexus 300 with a model year around 2005. Anyone with information about this deadly hit skip is asked to call Cleveland police.
