LAKEWOOD, Ohio — A CVS employee in Lakewood has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the pharmacy.

The CVS located at 11706 Clifton Blvd. was informed on Thursday that one of its employees had tested positive for the virus.

After learning about the positive test result, the store immediately closed in order to disinfect the premises.

The employee who tested positive and any co-workers who may have been exposed have been placed under a 14-day quarantine, according to CVS.

After disinfecting the store Thursday night, the CVS reopened for business on Friday morning.

“Our pharmacies are a critical resource for the communities we serve and we’ll continue to be here for customers and patients in these trying times,” CVS said in a press release.
