University of Akron offering online classes only for summer semester due to COVID-19 concerns

AKRON, Ohio — The University of Akron will only be offering summer courses online this year due to COVID-19 concerns.

The university said it is expanding its course offerings to help students graduate on time.

The school will be offering more classes that lead toward a degree and more general education classes to help students transfer.

Summer registration is already open.
